Hiking Travel, Hit holds a canoe base rental shop by the shore of lake Näsijärvi just by Tampere city center. Our base is located at Kaupinoja and consists of our canoe warehouse and a building called the Bikini Bar. The distance from Tampere city center to our base is approx. 4 kilometres. You can get close by with a local bus also. We have started small size kiosk service at the Bikini Bar in Summer 2017.

From our canoe base is one of the big open clearing waters of Näsijärvi, called Näsiselkä. More calm and sheltered water can be found to the east towards Aitolahti. The most popular near destinations are the island of Tapatora and Uittotunneli cafeteria (http://www.kahvilaepila.com/uittotunneli_kahvila.html). Other possible near destinations are Lassinlinna, Sorila river, Rauhaniemi beach, Mustalahti harbour, Kattilasaari and Pallosaari. For longer tours you can find routes for several hundreds of kilometres. And there are camping places with suitable distances from each other. By order we also tranport canoes and people – to other waters also.

In the Summer season we rent all sorts of canoes and kayak plus paddle boards from Kaupinoja. Other sports equipment that we rent include kick bikes (for the outdoor tracks in the near Kauppi outdoor sports park) and nordic walking sticks.
