Description

Season: Spring-Autumn.
Time: Tue 18-20.

Start for the tour infront of the Vanha Kirkko (“Old Church”) in the main square of Tampere.

The tour will follow Tammerkoski, cruise from Laukontori and under Hämeenkatu to the Tampella district, from Palatsiraitti bridge to the narrow alleys of Finlayson and return back to the Vanha Kirkko through Hämeenpuisto and Puutarhakatu.

During the journey you will hear stories about the magnificent industrial heritage of Manse (the common name for Tampere, influenced by Manchester), the old buildings and their inhabitants – of which some still haunt their old homes. After the tour you will know the interesting sites of Tampere better.
